Wings Credit Union and Ent Credit Union Announce Merger of Equals: Partnering to Deliver Even More V

April 23, 2025
APPLE VALLEY, MN — Minnesota-based Wings Credit Union announces today a merger of equals with Ent Credit Union out of Colorado Springs, CO. Together, the newly formed credit union will now serve nearly one million members, predominantly in Minnesota and Colorado. This announcement comes after thoughtful consideration between both credit unions in terms of service, sustainability, and growth.

The two credit unions share a similar history, values, culture, and growth path. This merger of equals aligns with both companies’ long-term goals to achieve more operating efficiencies and create even more value for all members. Both Wings and Ent are committed to the same friendly, outstanding local service members expect from the credit unions.

Members will not experience any immediate change, and the credit unions will continue to operate independently while the merger process goes through regulatory approval and a member vote. Once approved, the newly formed credit union will be led by Chad Graves, CEO of Ent, and will be called Wings Credit Union. The Board of Directors from each credit union unanimously approved the merger.

“With shared roots in aviation, the name Wings Credit Union celebrates our unique legacies and the positive impact ahead. The concepts of “Wings” and flight also have strong connections to the ideas of upward movement, goals, aspirations, and achievement. While our geographic footprint may be different, our values and culture are strongly aligned,” said Frank Weidner, President and CEO of Wings Credit Union.

“With this new combined entity, we are excited to offer members access to a combined 91 locations in Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. We remain local enough to care about our communities and large enough to offer the best products and services,” said Chad Graves, CEO of Ent. “We are committed to maintaining our roots of service to ensure great rates, first-in-class mobile banking, and top-notch service.”

Wings Credit Union ($9.7 billion, 371,000 members) and Ent Credit Union ($9.9 billion, 560,000 members) will be legally combined in 2026.

“Wings’ Board of Directors enthusiastically supports this merger of equals with Ent Credit Union,” said Greg Miller, Chair of Wings’ Board of Directors. “When we first asked our team to explore merger opportunities, Ent was atop our list of potential partners. As we’ve gotten to know each other better over the past several months, we’ve become even more excited about what this partnership will mean for our members, employees and communities.”

Both organizations have been aligned in their commitment to giving and donating more than $15 million collectively over the past decade. Each credit union is considered a “Best in Class Workplace” by a variety of national and local organizations including USA Today, Forbes and Newsweek, and puts a strong emphasis on taking care of employees.
