Photo Exhibit

12 photographs, culled from the Sherburne County Historical Society’s
photograph collection of amateur photographer Lillian Thorn Knutson are on exhibition
at the Sherburne History center starting November 1, 2024.

This exhibit shows the variety of photographs from the early part of the 20th
century in our collection taken by a local photographer.

Lillian (Thorn) Knutson documented daily life in the village of Becker and
surrounding area with a Kodak 2A Brownie camera she was gifted. She photographed
her husband (K. G. Knutson), daughter (Arvilla Knutson Gongoll), parents (Samuel and
Margaret Thorn) and life going on outside her home and general store.

This exhibit is sponsored by the Gongoll family.

The Sherburne History Center is located at 10775 27th Avenue SE, Becker, MN
