Description
WORKPLACE SAFETY TRAINING
"Response to a Hostile Event in the Workplace"
Presented by Sergeant David Windels, Elk River Police Department
The “it won’t happen here” mentality is so common that many businesses are not equipped to prevent workplace violence and unprepared to respond to a crisis.
How safe is your workplace? As the pace and emotional pressures of everyday life impact employees, both at home and in the workplace, a disturbing trend is emerging where violence can erupt toward you, your co-workers or customers. No employer wants such incidents to occur. But what if it does?
Learn the identification of potential threats, or “red flags” in the workplace, the use of common items as defensive tools, priorities and responsibilities of staff depending on your title and/or location in the building, and more. This training class is pertinent and important for all levels of staff.
